Maui has some of the most easily accessible beaches, many incredible coves, and plenty of options for people who are comfortable taking a dip in the ocean.
1
Maui offers the most snorkeling options along with some incredible fish and marine life. Maui has protected bays, calm seas, crystal clear waters, and offers some of the best opportunities to snorkel with sea turtles.
2
Maui is the second most visited island in the world. Because Maui gets so many visitors, the accommodation options are excellent and always growing.
3
On Maui, you can take a day trip to Haleakala to watch the sunrise, sunset, or go hiking. This is a great way to take the other side of Maui and learn how the island was formed.
4
The road will be busy with other tourists traveling to Hana. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend your vacation, then East Maui is the place.
5
Pick up a fine meal at one of the many food trucks, or enjoy a night of fine dining. The range of options available on Maui is incredible.
6
All of Maui's islands get their fair share of both sun and rain - and sun is never guaranteed here - but having a sunny day on Maui is likely at its best.
7
If you want to take a quick trip to another island, you can take a ferry ride to Lanai. Lanai are only a ferry ride away and can be done on an ambitious day trip or for a two to three day excursion from Maui.
8
